Some of our team were able to meet with our very own Congresswoman Aumua Amata in her DC office.

With so many other important events happening in our community, our team efforts with the Lions Club of Pago Pago continue on at Aunu'u AP Lutali Elementary School this month. We were able to travel to beautiful Aunu'u to conduct vision screening for students who may experience issues with their vision, so they can get the help they need. We had help from the students of the Leo Club of the South Pacific Academy helping out and learning about service. Lion President Danielle Pualau and her family joined in our efforts as well as the ever so popular Mr Joey Cummings who was in charge of the snacks department during our screenings.
We are grateful to Aunu'u officials, DOE administrators and AP Lutali School Principal and teachers for welcoming us and assisting in this effort. Also thank you to our own Yolanda Tautolo for assisting our team in Aunu'u.

February Is Children's Oral Health Month! We took the time to honor our Dental Teams at both LBJ Tropical Medical Center and DOH Community Health Center in Tafuna. Chief Leota and Chief Seiuli and all their staff are dedicated in serving all children of American Samoa, including children with RHD and special health care needs. We thank you sincerely for your care, dedication and professional work on behalf of all the children and their families in AS.

Home Of the Lions! Leone HS got a visit today from the RHD program to share information about how to protect ❤️❤️❤️ from strep infection and lifelong damage if one gets Rheumatic ❤️ Disease. The HOSA students were welcoming, attentive and eager to learn more about RHD and how to prevent it among themselves and their peers. Huge Faafetai to Principal Danielson, teacher Molly and all the mighty 🦁 students who made this a success!

We continue to do everything we can to help save the ❤️❤️❤️❤️ of our children in the territory. We are grateful for our friends from BYU Rheumatic Relief who come every year to help us screen our school-aged children for RHD/ARF.
