🎉 Fortnightly Attendance Winners! 🎉
At Friday's assembly, we celebrated our fortnightly attendance winners—and for the first time ever, we had a draw for first place! 🏆👏
A huge congratulations to 3 McGregor and 1/2 Chunys for achieving outstanding attendance this fortnight. What an incredible effort from both classes!
In a wonderful display of the Bradshaw spirit, Mrs Chunys' class generously let 3 McGregor choose the bell song, as their class had chosen it for the past four weeks. This is a fantastic example of our Bradshaw motto to Care, Share and Shine—showing kindness, celebrating others, and supporting one another. 💙💛

On Friday last week we had 7 students participate in Cross Country. They all did such a great job. Kemp and Ryleigh both came 9th in their races (racing against 12 and 13 year olds) Hannah 2nd, Jonah 11th and Archie and Ivy and Dia also did very well but not sure of their position.
All students supported each other well and did Bradshaw proud. Thank you to all parents that not only took their child but also helped out on the day.
🌿🖤💛❤️ What an incredible NAIDOC Week at Bradshaw Primary School! ❤️💛🖤🌿
What a busy, rewarding and memorable week it has been as we celebrated 50 Years of NAIDOC – The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.
We began the week with our beautiful Opening Ceremony, where our whole school came together to reflect on the importance of NAIDOC Week and celebrate the rich cultures, histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We marched as a whole school into the Hall to start the week off.
Throughout the week, students enjoyed spending time with their buddy classes, creating colourful NAIDOC hands, taking part in our colouring-in competition, and some classes sharing a buddy lunch. These activities encouraged connection, creativity and learning across all year levels.
One of the highlights of the week was our Deadly Disco, with students enjoying a fantastic evening of dancing, music and fun. A huge thank you to Miss Liddle and Miss Rhi for all of the planning and organisation that went into making the event such a success. We also extend our sincere thanks to every staff member who helped out—whether you were cooking the BBQ, working on the gate, supervising students, setting up, packing away or simply stepping in wherever needed. Your teamwork made the night possible.
We finished the week with a wonderful Closing Ceremony, featuring fantastic performances from Miss Liddle's Marles and Urreyes groups. It was a wonderful way to celebrate everything our students had learned and experienced throughout the week.
Our staff also had the opportunity to come together for a special staff session, where Miss Liddle shared some local language in a fun and engaging way, teaching the staff Head, shoulders, knees and toes in Arrernte and also the greeting song. It was a valuable experience that allowed us to continue learning and deepen our appreciation for culture.
A special thank you also goes to Miss Wilson and Mrs Jarman for their incredible efforts in creating a beautiful NAIDOC mural. It has been wonderful to see every student across the school contribute to this special piece of artwork, creating a lasting reminder of our celebration and the importance of coming together as a school community.
Thank you to our students, staff, families and community for making this year's NAIDOC Week such a special celebration. It has certainly been a busy week, but one filled with learning, connection, laughter and pride.

🎶 Music Update: Please note that Band Practice and Brass Instrument Lessons will **not** be running this week.
Guitar Ensemble lessons will continue as scheduled.

Our Transition students had a blast celebrating their 100th day of school. They had so much fun dressing up, and completing activities featuring the number 100. What a day for our littlest learners, and we would like to congratulate them on reaching this milestone.

Back in Term 2, Bradshaw students raised $392.50. Half was donated to the Butterfly Connection based in Alice Springs and the other half was donated to the Alice Springs Animal Shelter. The NTLC dropped off the donations to the animal shelter yesterday. They were delighted to spend time with the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. The animals were just as excited to have visitors. The animal shelter has a volunteer program please call 7902 1100 to learn more about this terrific initiative. ASTC Animal Shelter.
There were also many gorgeous animals ready to become someone’s furever friend.

Yesterday, the Northern Territory Learning Commission students visited Ross Park to participate in the NTLC midway pitch with other primary schools in Alice Springs. Each schools’ commission shared their project focus after their data analysis. Each school then provided new ideas, I wonder questions and affirmations about the school’s project.
