Welcome this Sunday on the occasion of the Rivoli Open Sunday.
‘Corpographies’, the third solo show with Nathalie Pirotte at Husk Gallery in Rivoli Brussels is on view.
Join us today between 2 and 6pm and meet the artist!

Corpographies brings together works that explore the female body through traces, gestures, and acts of inscription. The title itself combines corps (body) and graphie (writing): a writing of the body, or a cartography made through its traces. The hands do not simply represent the body; they write it. Nathalie Pirotte’s continued engagement with the body as a painterly language unfolds here through a heightened attention to gesture and embodiment. Her paintings resist straightforward representation, instead opening a space in which the physical becomes psychological and the intimate becomes formally legible. In doing so, Pirotte draws attention to the particular conditions of painting itself: its ability to hold ambiguity, sensation, and meaning in suspension, while inviting the viewer to actively reflect on what is seen and what remains elusive.

Husk Gallery presents a curated selection of contemporary drawings by international artists Peter Depelchin, Hanne Lydia Opøien Figenschou, and Marc Brousse. Working primarily with drawing, the artists explore its autonomy as a medium for experimentation, reflection, and conceptual research. United by the theme of “cultivating happiness,” the selected works consider happiness and well-being as fragile, constructed ideals shaped by desire, memory, ideology, and the spaces we inhabit. Through imagined landscapes, intimate impressions, and speculative architectures, the artists explore how happiness is not simply found, but consciously built, projected, and cultivated. Through line, texture, layering, and symbolic imagery, the works invite us to read between the visible and the imagined. Alongside notions of intuition, possibility, and projection, subtle traces of a more uncertain reality emerge—a sense of tension, absence, or events unfolding beyond the image. Together, the drawings reflect on how we construct meaning and imagine happiness, even when the world around us remains unpredictable.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary edition of the international drawing fair, we are delighted to introduce new and recent drawings by Peter Depelchin. The artistic practice of Peter Depelchin consists largely of a new contemporary approach to the tableau vivant, built on a web of inspirations drawn from art history, literature, and high- resolution astrophysical imagery. The works evoke mystical cults, distorted and dreamlike architectures, and astronomical phenomena that seem to be traces of a bygone past. The meticulous use of geometric motifs and an eclectic approach to the representation of space produce abstract features and artistic outcomes that are both stimulated and challenged by a radically archetypal, allegorical, and theatrical approach to figuration.

Peter Depelchin (b1985, Ostend) is a Belgian artist who lives and works in Brussels. He has been very busy on the national and international art scene, with residencies. He was declared laureate in several national art prizes. His work can be found in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, Mu.ZEE, and Musée Jenisch-Vevey (CH). In 2023, his solo show ‘Hommage à Pan’ was held at Musée Félicien Rops and Chateau Thozée in Namur.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary edition of the international drawing fair, we are delighted to introduce new and recent drawings by Marc Brousse. He has an artistic approach based on architecture, which he sees as a form of expression that can be integrated into an artistic movement. His first notable influence was his fascination with the art of building, which forms the basis of the history of civilisations, religions and myths. Marc Brousse has developed an artistic language known as ‘traitillism’, capturing the line in its living form to create allegories between man, his architecture and that of Nature.

Marc Brousse (b1984, Marmande) is a French artist who lives and works in Brussels. In 2010, he graduated as an architect from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands. Since 2016, he has been combining his work as an architect with an artistic practice. Marc Brousse has been awarded several artistic prizes. In early 2025, Husk Gallery presented “Architekto(s)cene(s)”, his first solo exhibition at the gallery. He has also participated in several group exhibitions in Belgium and abroad. Besides drawings, he also creates monumental installations. His recent solo project ‘Pax Aedificantes’ was shown in the Basilique St-Vincent in Metz (F). He is currently preparing his second solo show at Husk Gallery.
