Residents have contacted PGTV questioning the accuracy of the Punta Gorda Town Council’s September calendar.
Saturday’s scheduled hair braiding and haircutting event did not take place, and there was no sign of Sunday’s scheduled “Run for Jesus,” despite both being listed as official events.
PGTV contacted the Town Council for clarification, but our calls went unanswered. We will continue seeking answers.

Emily Castro Receives Emma Boiton Award.
Miss Queen of the Bay Toledo, Emily Castro, proudly represented the Toledo District and her hometown of Punta Gorda at the National Queen of the Bay Pageant, where delegates from across Belize competed for the prestigious crown. While she did not walk away with the national title, Castro certainly made Toledo proud, taking home the coveted Emma Boiton Award for her outstanding performance and representation.
