Folkus is a roots-based music series held in the colder months in beautiful Almonte, Ontario. We off
Folkus began as a three-concert winter folk series in January 2002. Reception was tremendous, and we were encouraged to add a fourth show in our second year. Now in our 12th year, and with the kind support of the Ontario Arts Council, we are looking forward to another exciting series to take the chill off winter. Past Concerts

Providing the entertainment is Steve Lund & His Mumbo Jumbo Extravaganza and Chris & Kat (sponsored by Folkus Concert Series).
The event gets underway at 6 pm. Grab dinner from the Almonte Civitan Club barbecue on site.
5 Wednesdays in July is coordinated by Friends of Augusta Street Park.

Assuring us that we’re on “The Other Side of Winter”, Jennifer Noxon and The Brindled Cats have filled the Almonte Old Town Hall with the warmth of their sound. It’s so lovely to hear them play together in a space they know so well.
