User Posting Guidelines:
Direct messages and posts are not considered official correspondence.
Chestermere Community Services, a City of Chestermere department, enhances resident well-being with mental health resources, family assistance, senior care, youth programs, and more! Official correspondence means communications written, faxed or emailed to the City of Chestermere that includes the resident’s proper name and address. Residents should contact the City of Chestermere by email or in writing to submit:
- A formal customer service request, comment or enquiry.
- A response to an item published for public comment. All comments will be regularly moderated and reviewed by City of Chestermere staff. The City of Chestermere will not tolerate comments that are offensive to an individual or an organization, rude in tone, or abusive as determined by the City of Chestermere. Users of the page agree that they shall not post any content that meets the following conditions, and the City of Chestermere reserves the right to, without notice, edit, remove, or refuse content that meets any of the following conditions:
• contrary to the principles of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Alberta Human Rights Act and any other applicable codes of conduct;
• racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, slanderous, insulting, life-threatening or otherwise offensive messages
• defamatory, serious, unproven or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations
• aggressive, coarse, violent, obscene, or pornographic content
• content which may offend the privacy, personal, property or other rights of any individuals or organizations
• content which infringes the policies of Facebook
• hyperlinks to website or other content that meet the above conditions
• content where the sender is not the author
• content for advertising or other commercial purposes
• announcements from labour or political organizations
• content written in a language other than English
• unintelligible or irrelevant messages, and
• any other content that the forum moderators feel will not add to the normal flow of debate. Users also shall agree that they shall not use the page in such a way as to offend the privacy, personal, property or other rights of any individuals or organizations. Users also agree not to use the site in such a way as to breach the laws of jurisdiction in which users currently reside. Users participate at their own risk, taking personal responsibility for comments, username and any information provided. If the City staff find that a comment or post contravenes any of the guidelines listed above, staff will make a copy of the comment for the record and delete the post from the City’s page and the offending user shall be blocked from the City’s page.

Clear out a closet and help keep a neighbour warm! 🧥
Jacket Racket is collecting new or gently used, clean winter gear for individuals and families in Chestermere.
Have a jacket that no longer fits? Boots the kids have outgrown? Snow pants that still have plenty of winter left in them? Pass them along!
📍 Drop off donations at City Hall, Synergy, Chestermere Rec Centre, or Chestermere Library.
🗓️ Donations will be accepted until October 13.
A little closet clean-out can go a long way in our community.

🍁 As tax season comes to an end, our CVITP clinic will officially close on September 29, 2026. We will return in February 2027 to continue providing free tax filing support to eligible community members. Thank you for trusting us this year, and we'll see you next season! ❤️

Grant Funding Opportunity Still Open!
The United Way, in partnership with the City of Chestermere, is currently accepting applications for Mid-Size Grants ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 to support community projects taking place between January and December 2027.
Eligible projects must align with at least one United Way priority area, including:

✅ Healthy Relationships
✅ Social Inclusion
✅ Socioeconomic Well-Being
