We are a community of neighbours and friends who are learning, together, what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus, here in Chestermere. Join us!

See you Sunday at 10:30 am and in the neighbourhood. Lake Ridge Community Church believes Jesus is bringing people together, and doing this amazing work here and now. We meet Sunday Mornings at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Wisdom School (134 Rainbow Falls Drive). On Sunday mornings we hope to be a place of intentional worship, learning, and spiritual growth as we discover what it is to become more like Jesus. Throughout the week we hope to be the kind of community that loves Chestermere and each other in beautiful and surprising ways.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month!

This month, we're taking a little time to celebrate and encourage Pastor Preston and Pastor Pete!

Over the next two Sundays, we're inviting our Lake Ridge family to share a few words of appreciation, encouragement, or prayer for the pastors who lead, serve, and walk alongside our community.

Maybe there's something you appreciate about them, a way they've made a difference in your life, or a prayer you'd love to share.

We'll have cards available on Sunday for you to write your message, and we'll be collecting them to create a special keepsake book for each pastor.

Can't make it to church? You can still participate! Simply email your message to Christina (Not here they will read it!), and we'll make sure it's included.

Sometimes the simplest words of encouragement can mean the most. Let's take this opportunity to remind Preston and Pete how much they're appreciated!

Our new sermon series explores the vastness of our inner world, a place made to believe, hear, see, know, and encounter God. The heart is God’s home, a Christian conviction that has tremendous implications for how we live, desire, and love. Join us for this special journey through scripture and into our own hearts. This Sunday at 10:30 am!

Church is more than what happens from the stage. It’s conversations before and after the service. It’s worshipping side by side. It’s gathering around the table for communion and salads. It’s serving, welcoming, praying, laughing, and making room for one another.

These are some of the simple, beautiful moments that make up life together at Lake Ridge. Our community!

Last week we shared a print out showing all the ways our staff and leadership tend to various areas of church life. Today we're following up with another side of them.
Not a headshot.

Not a perfectly posed photo.

Just a picture of themselves being… themselves.

A moment from their life that brought them joy, filled their cup, or simply captured a little piece of who they are outside of a Sunday morning.

And we LOVE what they sent us.

These are some of the people who spend time behind the scenes praying, listening, discerning, dreaming, asking good questions, and helping guide our church community.

They’re adventurers and gardeners. Parents and grandparents. Campers, travellers, creators, lake people, coffee people, sports people—and people who trade 4 wheels for 2.

We want you to know the humans behind the names and ministry roles a little better.

Thank you, Lake Ridge!

Saturday night, a wonderful group of volunteers represented Lake Ridge at Light the Night, hosted by the Chestermere Women’s Crisis Society (CWCS).

Our team helped host the Tree of Solidarity, creating a space for people to leave messages of hope, strength, encouragement, and solidarity for those impacted by domestic and family violence. We also had volunteers helping wherever they were needed throughout the evening.

We’re so grateful for each person who gave their time, showed up with compassion, and helped our community stand together in support of such an important cause.

And a huge thank you to CWCS for the work you do every day to support individuals and families in our community — and for creating an evening that brings awareness to gender-based violence while reminding survivors that they are seen, supported, and not alone.

To our Lake Ridge volunteers: thank you for showing up and loving our community so well.

We painted a lantern, but it represents something much bigger.

This month, Lake Ridge is honoured to be part of Light the Night, supporting Chestermere Women’s Crisis Society (CWCS) and helping bring awareness to gender-based violence in our community.

Our lantern was created around themes of light, hope, love, and the path ahead — small reminders of what it can mean to stand alongside someone navigating an incredibly difficult season.

Gender-based violence is not something that only happens somewhere else. It affects people in our own communities, and awareness matters. Support matters. Creating spaces where people are believed, valued, and know where to turn matters.

On September 19, we’ll be hosting one of the stations at Light the Night, standing alongside CWCS and our community as we shine a light on gender-based violence and the work being done to support those impacted by it.

We’d love for you to join us.
