We deliver programs to families to promote healthy development and positive parenting. We can help with transportation if required.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
Some of the programs at the Family Resource Centre are offered throughout the year, while others are offered only at certain times. Playgroup – This play based program is provided for you and your child to come play, meet new friends, and learn new things. Play activities that allow your child to develop their skills and understanding of the world around them. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to meet other parents, share information, gather resources and find support. For children ages 0 to 6 years of age. Speedy Sprouts (On hood for now - Topsail United Church playgroup) - A program for children to get active and enjoy some healthy physical activity. Plenty of toys are provided in a large, open space for children to engage in active play. Speed along on a scooter, slam dunk a basketball, or skip across stepping stones. Your child will have a blast while developing their motor skills and making new friends! This program is for age 0 to 6 years. Baby Bundles – For infants birth to walking - Baby Bundles provides a home-like setting for you to come discuss the joys and challenges of having a new baby with other parents/caregivers. Meet new friends, find support, and share stories with others. Eager Einstein’s -
This sign-up program is designed to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for math and science. In this program, you and your child will explore various topics through fun, interactive, hands-on activities. Simple science experiments, captivating demonstrations, and science-themed activities will make up this 6-week program in a learn-through-play environment. Recommended for children ages 3 to 6 years. Busy Bakers –
Does your child enjoy baking and making? In this program, children will build basic kitchen skills as they work together to create something delicious! Following a new recipe each week, children take turns counting, measuring, mixing and pouring. This is a great way to boost confidence and develop an appreciation for trying new foods. This sign up program is recommended for children 3 to 6 years of age. Healthy Baby Club – Pregnant mothers are invited to become a part of our Healthy Baby Club. Connect with other mothers and receive nurturing, guidance and support. Learn about good nutritional practices and positive lifestyle choices. Please contact our Healthy Baby Club Coordinator Tara, for more information at 744-4621. Our drop in playgroup schedule is available on our page and will be updated as needed. These drop in playgroups happen at various locations in Conception Bay area from Topsail to Brigus.

Our monthly Baby Bundles Information Session will be taking place on Wednesday October 14th from 1:30pm-3:00pm at the Conception Bay South Public Library (10 Remembrance Sq.)
This month we are welcoming Tracey Carter, one of our Public Health Nurses here in CBS. She will be talking about introducing solids.
This program is intended for those who are pregnant, and parents and caregivers of babies 0-12 months.
If you have a baby between the ages of 0-12 months, bring them along for some play time!

🎶🪿 Come Sing, Clap & Make Memories with Toddler Mother Goose! 💚
The Conception Bay Family Resource Program, in partnership with Admirals Coast Retirement Centre, is excited to offer our Toddler Mother Goose Program! 🥰
Join us for a fun, interactive musical experience where caregivers, little ones, and retirement centre residents come together through songs, rhymes, movement, and shared smiles! 🎵👶👵

⏰ 9:30–10:30 a.m.
📍 Admirals Coast Retirement Centre
This program is designed for children from walking age to 3 years old, accompanied by their caregivers.

🎶Join us tomorrow morning from 10:15-11:45am at the Conception Bay South Public Library for a time of singing and doing rhymes all while interacting with our babies!
Spend some time hanging out and getting to know other caregivers who are in the same stage of life in a safe and welcoming space, all while your baby plays, eats and/or sleeps!

Caregivers, bring your babies (between birth and starting to take a few steps) tomorrow afternoon for a time of connecting and chatting with others in the same stage of life in a safe and welcoming space, all while the babies play, eat, and/or sleep.

The Conception Bay Family Resource Program's Dad Group is back, and we'd love to welcome both returning and new participants.

Dad Group is a relaxed, welcoming space where dads can:

✔ Enjoy a break from the day-to-day demands of parenting
