Come in and check out our ‘Guess Who’ book display that will be running through September!

Each week there will be a different display of books that you can guess which librarian suggested. Patrons who have correctly guessed the librarian will then be entered into a draw at the end of the month to win a prize!

New program alert!
B'Tween The Pages Book Club for kids 9-13 who enjoy reading, discussion, and discovering new reads. This will be a fun get-together without homework!

Copies of the book are available at the front desk, on TRACpac.ab.ca, and Libby.

Our first meeting is Friday, October 9th at 11:30am (non-school day).
Pizza and refreshments will be provided, so registration is required (see the link in the comments).

We will be discussing the book Fish In A Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. It is about Ally, who is smart enough to fool a lot of smart people. Every time she lands in a new school, she hides her inability to read by creating clever yet disruptive distractions. She is afraid to ask for help; after all, how can you cure dumb? However, her newest teacher sees the bright, creative kid underneath the troublemaker. With his help, Ally learns not to be so hard on herself and that dyslexia is nothing to be ashamed of. As her confidence grows, Ally feels free to be herself, and the world starts opening up with possibilities. She discovers that there's a lot more to her- and to everyone- than a label, and that great minds don't always think alike.
