I CAN-TER
"I Can" Therapeutic Equestrian Riding Association of Niagara, Inc. or better known as I CAN-T.E.R. was founded in January, 1993. is in existence today.
We are a registered charity whose mission is to create a barrier free setting where individuals can experience the farm for Therapy & Rehabilitation, Education & Training, and Recreation & Leisure. It is a non-profit, charitable organization located at 1234 House Road, Ridgeway, Ontario. It was envisioned that the entire farm would provide an atmosphere where those with special needs could flourish. The wonders of the woods, the creek, the marsh, the gardens would all become part of a very hands-on experience for all who visit. Many βspecial momentsβ have taken place over the years which have reinforced our vision. Farm animals, particularly horses, have become βspecial friendsβ to many children. It is because of the commitment, dedication and blessings of many within Niagara, that I CAN-T.E.R. It is our hope that the vision will not only remain before our eyes, but close to our hearts!

This Saturday, our Farm and Nature Club begins. πΏ
Six Saturdays on the farm. Two hours a week. A small group, two facilitators, and eighty seven acres of forest, field and wetland to get to know slowly.
Children explore at their own pace, spend time with the animals, and pick up simple tools for staying calm and focused along the way. No pressure, no rushing, and nobody left standing at the back.
Ages 5 to 8 Β· Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Ages 9 to 12 Β· Saturdays 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
$300 for the full six weeks
A couple of places are still open.
And if your child is thinking about summer camp but has never been out to us, this is the gentlest possible start. Six Saturdays from now, the farm will not be somewhere new. It will be somewhere familiar.

πΏ One week to go.
Farm and Nature Club begins Saturday, October 17, and we still have places open in both groups.
If you have been sitting on this one, here is the honest pitch. It is two hours. It is outdoors. It is a small group with two facilitators, which means your child will actually be noticed rather than managed. And for a child who is quiet, or anxious, or still finding their feet, that combination is hard to find anywhere else in Niagara.
Several parents have told us they have been searching for nature-based programming for their child and coming up empty. This is it, and it starts in a week.
π Ages 5 to 8 | 10:00 to 12:00
π Ages 9 to 12 | 1:00 to 3:00
π
Six Saturdays, October 17 to November 21
π² $300 for the full program
π I CAN-T.E.R., 1234 House Road, Ridgeway, ON
And if your child is thinking about camp next summer, these six Saturdays turn 87 unfamiliar acres into somewhere that already feels like theirs. July drop-off is a very different morning after that.

πΏ Farm & Nature Club is back at I CAN-T.E.R.
Starting Saturday, October 17, we are welcoming small groups of children to the farm for six gentle Saturdays in the forest and the fields.
This program was built for the child who needs a little more time. Maybe they have never been to camp. Maybe they know us already but need to feel at home in our 87 acres before next summer. Maybe they simply do well in a small, calm space where somebody notices them.
Every Saturday, children will:
π² Explore the forest and farm through guided, low-pressure discovery
π Connect with animals, plants, and the rhythms of the natural world
πΌ Engage their senses to support calm, focus, and body awareness
π§ Practice simple, accessible wellness and self-regulation tools
π€ Build confidence and genuine connection in a safe, small group
π Ages 5 to 8 | 10:00 to 12:00
π Ages 9 to 12 | 1:00 to 3:00
π
Six Saturdays, October 17 to November 21
π² $300 for the full six-week program
π©βπ« Two facilitators with every group, both familiar faces from summer camp
π I CAN-T.E.R., 1234 House Road, Ridgeway, ON
Two hours is a gentle place to begin. For a child who is nervous about something new, it is long enough to settle in and short enough that it never feels like a leap.
Spaces are limited, and we keep the groups small on purpose.
