Bell MTS is aware of a service interruption affecting some customers in downtown Winnipeg due to damaged telecommunications infrastructure after an accidental copper cable cut by a third party doing construction on Tuesday. The contractors drilled through multiple ducts resulting in significant damage to several cables, requiring extensive repairs. Our teams continue to be on site to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Due to the extent of the damage to our infrastructure from a third-party fibre cut, some customers near the University of Manitoba may be experiencing wireless issues. We are working to resolve as quickly as possible, but repairs may take into the overnight. Thank you for your patience.
