Got an idea? A hobby? A side hustle? Or just curious?
Meridian Community Futures’ Youth Side Hustle Program isn’t only for youth who already have a business.
It’s also for young people who want to explore what starting a side hustle could look like.
Maybe you:
- already sell something or offer a service
- have a hobby you’d like to turn into a small business
- are looking for a homeschool project
- want to use entrepreneurship as a class assignment or learning project
- have an idea but have no clue where to start
- are simply curious about business and want to give it a try
That’s exactly what this program is for.
Youth can work through the program as a hands-on introduction to entrepreneurship, learning how an idea becomes a business, what things cost, how to price and market something, and what it actually takes to earn money from an idea.
You do not need to have it all figured out before you start. The learning is part of the experience.
Have a side hustle? Bring it.
Have an idea? Explore it.
Have no idea yet but want to learn? Come anyway.
Meridian Youth Side Hustle — a chance to learn by doing. $200 Program Completion BONUS!!!

🧡 Today, Meridian Community Futures recognizes National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
We honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the generations who continue to feel the impacts.
Reconciliation starts with truth. It means listening to Indigenous voices, learning about our shared history, and continuing to build relationships based on respect, understanding, and meaningful action.
Today, we encourage everyone to take time to listen, learn and reflect.
Every Child Matters. 🧡

The best time to think about cash flow isn't necessarily when you're already short on cash.
You know your business.
You know there will be months when expenses are higher, customers take longer to pay or an unexpected opportunity comes along.
Having a pre-approved FlexLine can give eligible businesses access to working capital when those moments happen.
Use funds up to your approved limit, repay principal when you're able, and have that principal available to borrow again.
Prime + 2% interest with a $500 annual fee. Year 1 required payments are interest-only, with principal payments permitted at any time.
FlexLine isn't just about solving today's cash flow problem. It's about being better prepared for tomorrow's.
