👀 A reminder that eye protection matters 👀
One of our patients wears scleral lenses (a specialty hard contact lens) and was riding an ATV without protective eyewear. A rock struck his eye and pierced his scleral lens.
Thankfully, he did not sustain a serious eye injury, but this could have been a very different story. The pictured damaged lens is a pretty powerful reminder of how much flying debris could impact the eye.
🥽 If you’re riding an ATV, using power tools, or doing activities where debris can become airborne, be safe & wear appropriate protective eyewear 🥽
Protect your eyes, they’re worth it!
👀 Reminder! We’re closing at 11am today for first aid training! 👀
