What a Qualified Person (QP) Does
• Selects Systems: Chooses standard on-site sewage systems (up to 4 bedrooms or 1,500 litres/day) for residential and light properties.
• Site Evaluations: Assesses soil, lot suitability, and property layouts for subdivisions or new building developments.
• Inspections & Compliance: Evaluates existing septic systems for real estate transactions, permits, or power reconnections, and files mandatory installation notifications with the department.
