🌺 French Polynesia — this one is ridiculously easy to daydream about.
Yes, the water really is that colour. But one of the things I love about French Polynesia is that there’s so much more to it than those famous overwater bungalows.
Fun fact: French Polynesia is made up of 118 islands and atolls spread across an enormous area of the South Pacific — yet only a fraction of them are inhabited.
It’s also one of those destinations where cruising makes so much sense. Unpack once and wake up to another spectacular island outside your window.
Bora Bora gets all the attention, but I have a feeling you might find your favourite island somewhere you weren't expecting. 🌴

From exploring the incredible Tomb Raider temples of Cambodia, to wandering the streets of Budapest, discovering the history and culture tucked inside ancient temples, and then… a baby elephant. 🥹 That one pretty much speaks for itself.
2026 really became the year of river cruises and safaris for me — two completely different ways of travelling, but both let you slow down, get closer to a destination and experience so much more than just the highlights.
And THAT is exactly why I travel. The more of the world I experience firsthand, the better I can help my clients find the experiences that will become their favourites.

🐢 The Galápagos — where the locals have absolutely no respect for personal space.
And by locals, I mean sea lions, giant tortoises, marine iguanas and the rather fabulous blue-footed b***y.
Fun fact: Because many Galápagos species evolved with very few natural predators, the wildlife can be remarkably unfazed by humans. There are strict rules about how we behave around them — not necessarily the other way around!
This is one of those places where the experience is less about sightseeing and more about feeling like you've stepped into a nature documentary.
Definitely one for the bucket list.
