It's time for a proper introduction! I'm Kristen, the face behind the flowers here at Fiorella.
You might be able to tell that social media isn't my thing 🫣 I prefer to stay in the background, enjoying the quiet of the garden and connecting in person, so you might not see much of me here.
I'm a life-long farmer, growing up on a vegetable and mixed livestock farm in the Fraser Valley. I started growing dahlias about 15 years ago as a hobby grower before jumping in to growing flowers as a side gig.
As a full-time environmental professional, Fiorella is an outlet for my creativity and passion for agriculture. Growing healthy plants for beautiful blooms, creating space for pollinators, and nurturing the land that supports me are my favourite aspects of flower farming.
I grow a range of flowers each season and find something new to love every year, but dahlias are still my number one. I'm a novice dahlia hybridizer with releases planned for 2028 under my prefix Cottage.
I love discovering new and rare varieties for you to enjoy in your gardens and homes. Exciting things are on the way! 🌸
