Because sometimes, the things we can’t see are the scariest.

Mental health care shouldn’t be scary to access and no one should have to face it alone.

That’s why Neoma exists 🌙

Nine months of Neoma in 2026. Nine months of showing up for women.

When we started Neoma, we knew there was a need for more accessible mental health support for women in Saskatchewan. What we didn't know was just how many people would come together to help us make that happen.

From January 1 to September 30, 2026, here's a little look at what we've accomplished together:
• 34 women reached out for subsidized counselling, with 21 approved for support.
• 62 counselling sessions funded, with over $7,700 invested directly into helping women access care.
• $12,684.74 raised through the generosity of our sponsors, donors, fundraisers, and community.
• 4 events held, bringing 159 women together to connect, learn, and feel a little less alone.
• 24 volunteers and 7 board members, contributing an incredible 680 hours of their time, energy, and heart.

And a growing community of women who believe in what we're building.

But there's another number we want to talk about.

That's how many women were still waiting for counselling support at the end of September.
Thirteen women who have already taken the courageous step of reaching out and asking for help. Thirteen women who deserve access to care, regardless of what they can afford.
And that's why we're not done.

We're incredibly proud of what we've accomplished in just nine months, especially as a small, volunteer-run nonprofit. But we also know there's so much more work to do.

To every person who has donated, sponsored, volunteered, attended an event, shared a post, or simply believed in our mission, thank you. You are helping us build something that we hope will make a lasting difference for women across Saskatchewan.

Our dream is to continue growing, reaching more rural communities, creating meaningful connections, and helping remove the financial barriers that prevent women from getting the support they need.

Because mental health support shouldn't be a luxury. And no woman should have to wait until she's in crisis to receive care.

PARENTAL BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

At Evergreen Oasis Counselling & Consulting, we recognize that the loss of a child is a profound and life-changing experience. No parent should have to navigate grief alone.

We are honoured to offer a FREE 10-week Parental Bereavement Support Group — a safe, compassionate, and supportive space for parents to connect with others who understand the heartbreak of losing a child.

What if healing wasn’t about fixing yourself, but about finding your way back to yourself?

This month’s Neoma Wellness blog features cassandra_daher, a mom of three and a guide who helps people reconnect with their most authentic selves through feeling.

Cass’s approach is rooted in the belief that our bodies and minds are deeply connected, and that sometimes the things we’ve learned to call “just who I am” are actually adaptations to what we’ve experienced.

Her story is deeply personal. Her work explores what happens when we stop pushing feelings away, stop trying to constantly “fix” ourselves, and instead become curious about what our bodies might be trying to tell us.

In “Returning to Yourself,” Cass shares her own story, what emotional suppression can look like, what healing can look like, and a few simple ways you can begin checking in with yourself.

“Feeling is where the truth has been hiding the whole time.”

We’re so grateful to Cass for sharing her perspective, her story, and her work with the Neoma community.

October 10th — World Mental Health Day 🤍

You are allowed to pause. You are allowed to struggle. You are allowed to ask for help. Sometimes taking care of yourself means choosing yourself, even when it’s hard.

Take a week off. Take a year off. Tell your family. Ask for help. Go to therapy. Cry. Scream. Yell. Do whatever you need to do.

All the things we should be doing instead of carrying it all alone and staying silent. Do whatever it takes to STAY.
