𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 — an absolute necessity when building financial discipline. Sinking funds will keep you on track when it comes to your financial goals. They will also keep you debt-free and ensure that you’re saving for the things that matter in your life. One of the reasons I’ve been able to travel every month and move to Miami is because I’ve automated money into my sinking funds. I started this process years ago and it’s served me well. So now I’m teaching YOU, how to do the same!

Every month I have money automatically transfer into an account for vacation & travel, taxes, investing, car maintenance, miami, medical / dental amongst a few others.

The first thing I do when I get paid— is pay myself first (move money into my savings or investment accounts). From there, within 2 days all of my transfers automatically deposit into my sinking funds (I don’t lift a finger).

Whatever is left in my checking account is free for me to spend / save.

This concept might seem simple but don’t go ahead and open up a ton of savings accounts. Step one before creating & automating sinking funds is conducting an in-depth cash flow analysis. Your budget will demonstrate how much you’re able to automate and what expenses you should be saving for.
