We said good-bye to Dr. Moller a couple of weeks ago and although we knew she was just with us for the summer, we miss her dearly. Having her here helped us discover how to use our space and team with a 3rd veterinarian - turns out we love it! Our booking schedule is feeling the loss of that extra space, so please give our team grace as we adjust again.

We are a group of motivated and like-minded women who have created our dream working environment and because of it, we have grown. Our case load and team would be better with a 3rd DVM joining us for 25-40 hours per week. Ideally, we find our person by next spring but are open to earlier or later start dates for the right fit.

Have you been looking for a practice that will respond to you? We order the drugs and equipment you want. We change our protocols based on new evidence. We adjust appointment lengths and booking density immediately based on feedback. And we find a way to make your vacation requests work. Our people are the foundation of who we are. But even incredible people cannot thrive if the system doesn’t work for them. That’s why an extra 1000 square feet of space is going to be finished in the next month.

We are a privately-owned mixed-animal practice in an emerging mountain town that is working meet the needs of our community. That means spectrum of care. Gold standard is offered and communicated, but acceptable alternatives are created based on the client and patient’s specific situation. We draw ethical lines, but we also find ways to give pets and their people a better life.

We are 15 hours from referral (or a 1.5-hour flight). This means we offer it, but when it is not accessible, we get to manage interesting and complex cases that we decide as a team how to handle. It keeps us fresh, and when shared with a super supportive team (including virtual specialist consults), it doesn’t feel overwhelming.

Location: Terrace, BC
Position: Licensed Veterinarian
Pay: Hourly. $50 - 85/hour based on experience. $10,000 signing bonus for a 2-year commitment.
Caseload: Canine + Feline (+/- Equine, occasional Bovine, Caprine, Ovine, Porcine, Poultry… tell us what you are comfortable with!)
Hours: 25 – 40 per week. Weekend call every 6-9 weeks with RVT +/- assistant. No mid-week call.
Vacation: 4 weeks paid, unlimited unpaid – if you can afford to take it off, take it off!
Benefits: Full package – dental, prescriptions, para-health practitioners. RRSP matching. Scrubs allowance. Personal pet care at cost.

Friends of the farm!

Mount Remo is seeking a few individuals to join their stellar team- honestly, you could only be so lucky! I’ve worked with many vets, large and small, this team is exceptional. Knowledgeable, kind, caring, and so very real.

Beauty afternoon for a cruise with this sassy crew

Friends of the farm! There are some major changes being proposed for Area C that would impact our ability to grow and provide food for our community. There is power in numbers and the farmers need your support.

I’ve heard from a very large number of Area C residents over the past 24 hours regarding the proposed Greater Terrace (Area C) Draft Zoning Bylaw changes, and there are clearly many questions and concerns in the community.

I strongly encourage residents to attend tonight’s open house hosted by the Regional District. Ask questions, share your feedback, and make your voices heard directly. Public engagement is important, especially on decisions that could have long-term impacts on your neighbourhoods, property rights, and community planning.

I will also be attending this evening to listen to residents, bring forward the concerns I have been hearing, and help ensure people are able to get answers to their questions.
