Chassis BFC 002 is truly one of a kind: every other works RS3100 was built left-hand drive, but this one came with the wheel on the right.
And despite its color, it was no black sheep at all. A genuine works Ford built by Broadspeed, it won the Belgian Group 2 championship at the first attempt with Claude Bourgoignie, then took podium after podium in Sweden with the legendary Bosse "Bo Emma" Emanuelsson. Over the winter of 1975 Ford's Cologne factory upgraded it to full RS3100 spec, with a howling 475hp 24-valve Cosworth GAA V6, before it was painted the jet black it still wears today.

2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello

Monaco is known for its Formula 1 Grand Prix, its rallye and its density of exotic metal per square kilometre. Less known is that it once built its own supercar. Founded by racing driver Fulvio Maria Ballabio, Monte Carlo Automotive unveiled the Centenaire in May 1990, and in doing so it made history thanks to a carbon composite chassis developed with the help of Carlo Chiti, the man behind the Ferrari 156 Sharknose. It beat both the Jaguar XJR-15 and the McLaren F1 to a milestone the automotive world tends to attribute elsewhere. Chassis EL0002 is now available at Broad Arrow Auctions Zoute Concours Auction on 9 October, available on the Classic Driver Market.
