The Altes Bütschels Hus was built between 1520 and 1530 and is constructed in the traditional farmhouse style of the Bernese Oberland region.
We are very fortunate to receive many fantasic reviews, which have resulted in us winning the Trip Advisor Travellers choice award for 2013. It is true, we aren't a hotel, or a mountain hut, we aren't a purpose built B&B or a restaurant with rooms to let ............. this is our home which we offer to share with you. A tradition that was first recorded in Kandersteg in 1658 as travellers rested in private homes before their trip across the Alps via the Gemmi Pass.
