Pioche Projects is a 250m2 warehouse in Quartier Bibi, Biarritz, transformed into artist studios and a common space offering classes,residencies,workshops and events. Pour commencer un petit vent de New York/Brooklyn vient souffler sur Biarritz, d'autres suivront d'ici et d'ailleurs nous l'espérons, pour se poser un moment, s'inspirer, échanger, creer, et agrandir une communaute d'artistes, aux yeux et bras ouverts, dans ce petit coin du monde entre montagnes et océan. Tashi Dorji is a Bhutanese-born, Asheville, North Carolina-based experimental guitarist and free-improviser. He moved to the United States for college in 2000 and began carving out a unique niche in the underground, avant-garde music scene. Josephine Foster est une chanteuse, compositrice et poétesse lyrique originaire du Colorado. Ancienne étudiante en opéra devenue expérimentatrice folk visionnaire, elle insuffle une nouvelle vie aux formes archaïques. Sa musique explore l'archéologie culturelle de cette « vieille Amérique étrange » chère à Harry Smith. À travers vingt-cinq ans d'une œuvre singulière, Foster joue avec les frontières de l'hymnodie psych-folk, du country blues, du lied et de l'avant-song, le tout porté par une finesse d'interprétation et une voix de mezzo-soprano reconnaissable entre toutes.

Josephine Foster is a Colorado-born singer, composer, and lyric poet. A former opera student turned
visionary folk experimentalist, she breathes new life into archaic forms. Her music channels the cultural archaeology of Harry Smith's old weird America. Across 25 years of singular work, Foster plays at the boundaries of
psych-folk hymnody, country blues, lieder and avant-song, with interpretive wit and unmistakable mezzo-soprano.

Aujourd’hui, près de 10 % de la population mondiale vit à proximité d’un volcan.
Cet hiver, le photographe Léo Coulongeat a parcouru pendant deux mois la ceinture de feu du Pacifique, à la rencontre des femmes et des hommes qui vivent au plus près de ces montagnes qui respirent.
