You never stop learning.

Over the past few months I've been taking a much closer look at how Plus2Print grows online.

Through Go Succeed, I had the opportunity to work with two Profile Tree specialists across Google Ads, Meta, Shopify, SEO and organic search.

I wasn't starting from scratch. In some ways that was the most valuable part. It gave me the chance to challenge what I thought I knew, refresh areas I'd worked in before and get a clearer view of where we should be putting our time and effort.

I've written about what I learned, what's already changed at Plus2Print and why sometimes the most useful thing you can do in business is admit there's still more to learn.

36 years ago today, Plus2Print began.

1st September has always been an important date for our family.

It was on this day in 1990 that our dad, Tony Oakes MBE, took the leap into self-employment and started Plus2Print in Downpatrick.

In 2015, on that very same date, we lost him.

So today is always a mixture of pride, gratitude and reflection.

He never set out to build a huge company. He wanted to create something secure for his family, something built on hard work, honesty and looking after people. Those values are still at the heart of Plus2Print 36 years later.

The blog we are sharing today is particularly special because it is based on his own words and not the AI drivel that surrounds us written in his book "Into the Fire", which he never finished.

36 years on, we are still here. Still local. Still family. Still proud to carry his name and his legacy forward.

36 years in business today.

Plus2Print opened its doors in Downpatrick in 1990, and 36 years later we’re still here printing, designing and working with businesses, clubs, organisations and families across the area.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Customers old and new, local businesses, friends and everyone who continues to put work our way.

36 years on, and we’re still proud to be a local print business in the heart of Downpatrick.

Thank you

Its never easy when you are a volunteer! We finally met up with the Wonderful Gavin from Plus2print. We are so grateful to him, his team and our community for all the support. I really feel when we work together, so much becomes possible. We are not alone, I feel that, and these connections are the greatest teacher. 🙏

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend from all of us at Plus2Print.

We’re closed on Monday and will be back open Tuesday 1st September at 10am.

Thanks as always for your support, and enjoy the long weekend.
