🍂 The clocks are going back!

As autumn settles in, it’s almost time to turn the clocks back by one hour and officially say goodbye to British Summer Time. 🕰️🍁

⏰ At 2am on Sunday the 25th October, the clocks go back to 1am - meaning we get an extra hour in bed! 😴

But why do we do it?

The UK changes its clocks to make better use of daylight throughout the year. During the summer, British Summer Time (BST) gives us lighter evenings, while in winter we return to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), giving us more daylight in the morning.

The clocks have changed seasonally in the UK since 1916, when the Summer Time Act was introduced.

So, as the nights draw in and the leaves turn golden, remember to change your clocks 🍂

And yes… that extra hour of sleep is absolutely worth celebrating! 😴🛏️

This Wedding Wednesday features Mr and Mrs Kelly

Daniel married his new wife Hannah in a beautiful, windy, ceremony at The Harbour Chapel in Dunbar. He was donned in a a full Tynecastle Park kilt outfit complete with Plaid, which whipped around dramatically on the windy coast.

This is a spooky one! Can you guess the tartan? 👀🔮

This tartan remembers a dark chapter in Scottish history - one that lasted for more than a century.

🔮 Clue no 2
Its colours tell a story: black and grey represent darkness and ashes, while red and pink are inspired by something used to bind legal papers.

🐈‍⬛ Clue no 3
Its 173-thread black section represents 173 years, while the red and pink sections appear three times - reflecting three key objectives: a pardon, an apology and memorials.
