Matson Rugby Club

🖤🤍 INVESTING IN OUR CLUB | LADIES FACILITIES UPGRADE 💚

As a grassroots rugby club, Matson RFC relies heavily on the support of our members, supporters, sponsors and volunteers to keep the club running.

That’s why we’re really pleased to share some good news. We’ve been fortunate to secure external funding specifically to refurbish and improve our ladies facilities at Redwell Road. 🙌

Without funding opportunities like this, improvements of this scale simply wouldn’t be possible for the club, so we’re incredibly grateful to have secured the support that allows us to invest back into our facilities.

🚧 Over the next month, you may notice the ladies facilities temporarily closed at times while the final refurbishment work takes place.

Don’t worry — alternative toilet facilities will be available while the work is being completed.

Thank you for bearing with us while the work takes place. We’re looking forward to showing you the finished facilities and continuing to make Redwell Road a better place for everyone who uses our club. 🖤🤍💚

🏉 WEEKEND RESULTS | MATSON RFC 🏉

A mixed afternoon for our senior sides yesterday, but plenty to be proud of across both teams. 🖤🤍

🏠 Matson 1sts 61 – 29 Witney RFC
A brilliant performance at Redwell Road, with the 1sts putting 61 points on the board to secure another fantastic win. 🔥💪

✈️ Smiths RFC 52 – 12 Matson United
A tough afternoon on the road for the United, but the scoreline certainly doesn’t tell the whole story.

It was great to receive some fantastic feedback from the match referee, who commented on how well our captain Ben Stokes led the side, and that he and the whole team were a credit to Matson RFC.

That’s what grassroots rugby is all about. Results won’t always go your way, but representing the badge, your teammates and your club in the right way matters. 🖤🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who supported both sides yesterday.
We go again! 💪
