Well done Girls 💪 great performance

Our u12 girls travelled to the Kilkenny Tournament today for a 7-a-side blitz, and the girls made the most of every minute. It was a fantastic day, full of great football and brilliant experiences.

On the pitch, they were outstanding, competing superbly against some very strong opposition. Their hard work paid off as they topped their group and earned a place in the 1st place final. In the final, we narrowly lost 1–0 to a very strong Templeogue United side. It was a tight game, and on another day we might have got the rub of the green.

We’re incredibly proud to finish runners-up out of 12 teams from across Ireland—an amazing achievement. A big thank you to Kilkenny United and Thomastown FC for hosting what has become an annual highlight for us. And thanks, as always, to the parents for their fantastic support and for making the early morning trip.

Lakewood 1 – Midleton 1

A closely fought and evenly contested game, just like our previous meetings. Both teams gave everything from start to finish. Our girls produced some excellent passages of football and showed great composure on the ball, but the winning goal just wouldn’t come.

A special mention to Roisin for stepping into goal after just a week’s preparation—she can be incredibly proud of her performance. She pulled off a superb one-on-one save and showed real bravery and confidence throughout.

Our goal came from Sarra, who finished with her usual calmness under pressure.

Every one of the girls should be proud of their efforts and the quality of football they played.
