🌱 Why Not All Liquid Seaw**ds Are the Same.

You might think liquid seaw**d is liquid seaw**d — but how it’s extracted makes a big difference.

At Better Plants, we use a gentle cold extraction process designed to preserve as much of the naturally occurring goodness in the seaw**d as possible.

🌿 Why is our seaw**d olive green?

Our liquid seaw**d has a natural olive-green colour. This comes from our gentle extraction process, rather than using high temperatures or harsh processing.

The aim is simple: take what nature has put into the seaw**d and preserve it for the plant.

💧 Feed from the top down AND the bottom up

Better Plants Liquid Seaw**d can be used in two ways:

🌱 Foliar spray — applied directly to the leaves.

🌱 Root drench — applied around the roots to support the plant and soil.

Or use both, giving the plant support from the leaves down and the roots up.

Suitable for vegetables, flowers, lawns, trees, shrubs, fruit and indoor plants.

We’re carrying out some simple trials to see how our products can help with seed germination and early growth.

Two boxes:
🌱 Same soil
🌱 Same amount of seed
🌱 Same growing conditions

Left box: Treated with Black Gold – Humic & Fulvic Acid
Right box: Water only

So far, we’re seeing a clear difference.

The seed treated with Black Gold has:
✅ A higher germination rate
✅ More even germination across the box
✅ Better moisture retention in the soil

One thing that really stood out during the recent hot days was that the Black Gold treated soil didn’t dry out as quickly.

Early results are looking very promising. 🌱

Next stage: Once the grass reaches around 3–4 inches, we’ll apply our liquid fertiliser and continue to follow the results.

More updates to come as the trial progresses.

Two days after treating this plum tree with our Better Plants Liquid Biostimulant, the leaves are already looking healthier with a noticeable shine.

There are still plenty of aphids on the top shoots, but remember—the aim isn’t just to kill insects. It’s to build a stronger, healthier plant that’s better able to cope with pest pressure and recover naturally.

As the late Geordie Mitchell sang :

“I don’t care about the spots on the apples, just leave me the birds and the bees.”

🌿 Aphids damaging your plants?

Aphids feed on the sap of plants, weakening growth and causing leaves to curl and distort.

Instead of reaching for harsh chemicals that can harm beneficial insects like ladybirds and pollinators, I prefer to strengthen the plant naturally.

Our Better Plants Liquid Biostimulant, made with seaw**d and amino acids, helps support healthy growth and natural plant resilience.

A stronger plant is better able to cope with stress, pests, and disease.

🌱 Healthy plants, naturally.
