I love weddings, but honestly, it’s not really the wedding itself that gets me. It’s the people, the little details, and most of all, the couple’s vision for how they want their day to feel.

And then there’s my favourite part… when we leave everyone behind for a little while and go off on our own. Just the two of you and me...

That little bit of time together? That’s where the magic happens. ❤️

This is why the getting ready is SO important.

I always tell my couples: invest in the getting ready. Because this is where so many of the moments you’ll treasure happen quietly, before the day really begins.

The hugs, the nerves, your mum fixing your dress, your best friend making you laugh, that moment you look in the mirror and realise… this is really happening.

And it all goes by in the blink of an eye.

That’s why I’m there — to photograph the moments you’re too busy living to notice. The little things you may not remember happening, but will be so grateful to have captured years from now.

Because one day, these photographs won’t just remind you what your wedding looked like.

They’ll remind you how it felt.

I think we’ve all been there — comparing ourselves to others and wondering, “Why am I not there yet?”

As mums, entrepreneurs, employees, partners… whatever our role, social media can make us feel like everyone else has it figured out.

But we’re comparing our real life to someone else’s highlight reel.

So take a step back.
Trust your journey.
Believe in yourself.

15 years together, just missing out on 16 by a couple of weeks. Three gorgeous children later, they decided it was finally time to get married.

So this post is dedicated to their family — the three little people who are such a huge part of the story they’ve built together.

A beautiful ceremony, followed by some time together for photos, capturing the love, laughter and a few special moments with the people who mean the most to them.

What started as a Google search from California turned into a story full of unexpected connections. ❤️

During our consultation, I discovered that Heather, Tara’s mum, is fourth-generation Polish — an unexpected connection to my own Polish family heritage.

And somehow, 20 years after their first visit to the Hill of Tara, they were back… with their daughter Tara.

The Hill of Tara is one of my favourite places to be, so being there to capture this story made it even more special. ✨

Today is World Photography Day. 📸

And for me, it’s about people. Personalities. Stories. The moments we don’t plan. The laughs. The expressions. The little bits of who we really are.

That’s why I started As You Are.

I wanted to create a space where people can come into my studio and just be themselves.

Or, if they want to, be a version of themselves they don’t normally get to be.
Because we’re not one thing.

We’re serious. We’re funny. We’re awkward. We’re confident. We’re loud. We’re quiet. We change depending on the day.

And I want to photograph all of that.
Not a perfect version of you.
Your version of you.
That’s what As You Are is about.
Real people.
Real personalities.
No rules.

One of those moments that turned into so much more than just a photograph. ✨

I was originally there to photograph the certificate presentations at a beautiful Reiki, sound & healing workshop.

But after the workshop with the wonderful Marta (the teacher, not me 😂) we decided to have a little fun and celebrate with a group photo.

And what a moment it was! So much laughter, relief, energy and joy — you could almost feel the release in the room. 💫 with
