There is a chemical called DMDM hydantoin that is a preservative in many popular shampoo lines such as Ogx, Dove, suave, tresemme and others. When lathered, formaldehyde is released into the air you breathe and into your skin causing hair loss, rashes, allergies and more. These lines have lots of lawsuits filed against them for these reasons and they have yet to pull the ingredient from their products. If you have any skin irritation or sensitive skin, please check your labels or talk to your stylists about professional product lines that use high quality ingredients!
