Cayman Islands Humane Society

Can you spare a little time to help us?
With our team short-staffed over the next two weekends, we are reaching out to our wonderful volunteer community for a few extra helping hands on 24 & 25 October and 31 October & 1 November.
Whether it’s helping clean the dog cages and kennels, the cat room, or reception area, your time would be greatly appreciated.
If you are available and happy to roll up your sleeves for our animals, please email [email protected].
Many thanks on behalf of our staff, dogs and cats!

Brothers Raccoon and Ramsey enjoyed being our Pets of the Month during their visit to Z99 Grand Cayman this morning. They are part of a litter of five pups, four boys and one girl, and are now 6 months old.
Please come and meet Raccoon and Ramsey at the shelter!
A special thank you to Cay 9 Resort & Spa for sponsoring our Pet of the Month segment.
We appreciate your support!

Bayley is a cheerful girl with a heart full of love! At approx. 3.5 years old, Bayley has spent the past 1.5 years at the shelter, patiently waiting for her forever family.
This fun-loving pup is wonderfully friendly and gets along with everyone she meets: dogs and especially children.
Bayley is a smaller-sized dog and has plenty of love to give. She would adore a home where she can be included in family life and get lots of cuddles.
Could you be the special person Bayley has been waiting for? This lovely girl can’t wait to leave shelter life behind and begin her happily-ever-after!

Courtesy Post: This dog was seen at the Mantras on South Sound, last night.
If you know where she belongs or if you are the owner, please go look for her. We are not sure if she is still around.
We recommend that all dogs wear a collar with a dog tag with owner contact details. Please keep your pets safe and secure.

Raccoon and Ramsey are 6-month-old brothers who are always ready for any fun adventure!
They enjoyed spending time with volunteers Carine and Simon. They ran, played, explored, and even went swimming. Both brothers have lovely personalities. Raccoon and Ramsey are friendly, affectionate, and happiest when they are spending time with people. They enjoy attention, companionship, and being included in all the fun. It is easy to see why they have become volunteer favorites!
Both pups are ready to find loving families.
Please come and meet these lovely pups, you may just meet your new best friend!

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the veterinary students of St. Matthew's University for their commitment, support, and compassion towards the West Bay community dogs.
Last weekend, the students visited several homes in West Bay to provide essential care and attention to resident dogs. Their visits include supplying food, administering monthly Heartgard and affection.
While these acts of service may seem simple, they make a profound difference in the lives of both the dogs and their owners.
The dogs welcome the students with wagging tails, joyful greetings, bright, happy faces and smiles.
We are thankful to the SMU students for making a difference.
We appreciate all of you!

Kitten Layton is Adopted! This sweet girl has found herself a wonderful, loving family and she made herself right at home!

It was a big weekend for Caytie!
Early Saturday morning, Caytie flew to Miami, where she was reunited with her rescuer, Ann. After spending the day together, Caytie and Ann flew to Turks and Caicos yesterday. Ann told us that Caytie has settled right in!
This transfer would not have been possible without teamwork and support. A big thank you goes to flight es**rt Yurena, our dedicated staff and to Dr. Dorman of
Pawsome Ventures for her assistance. We are also deeply grateful to Ann, not only for rescuing Caytie, but for giving her a loving furever home!
