🕊✝️🌿SIT WITH SOPHYA🕊✝️🌿:DIFFICULT CONVERSATION IN THE NEUROSURGERY ROOM AFTER SUDDEN BRUTAL LIFE CHANGING

Unseen Made Visible-The hardest conversations.

CONVERSATIONS WITH MY NEUROSURGEONS.

I sat in the neurosurgery room with countless questions running through my mind.

Questions that would only make sense to someone who had walked through the same kind of battles I have faced.

I asked my team of neurosurgeons:
“What should I do now?”

“How can I continue?”

“Why does it feel like people my age are moving forward in life while I am here rebuilding from things that were never my fault?”

I was trying to make sense of everything I had endured.

The answer I received stayed with me deeply:

MY NEUROSURGEONS TO ME:

“You don’t need to compare your life with others. You are living in another timeline, and you should be proud of it.”😭😭😭💔

That sentence changed something in me.

I began to understand that my life is not lesser, and I am not behind.

My journey is simply different in structure because of what I have had to go through.

The pain often comes from comparing our lives to people who are not carrying the same battles, the same medical realities, or the same survival stories.

That gap can create grief.
It can feel like lost time.

But it is not my fault.

Medical conditions are not about blame.

Sometimes life changes unexpectedly, and we are forced to rebuild around a reality we never chose.

My focus shifted from speed and milestones to survival, healing, adaptation, and rebuilding.

And I learned:

Struggle is not failure.

Living differently is not failure.

Rebuilding slowly is not failure.

Today, I embrace a slower life.
A life rebuilt intentionally.
A life rooted in healing, purpose, and peace.

I chose to transform my journey into purpose.

I share my testimony because I realized how important it is to help others, encourage others, and remind people that life is already hard enough.

So if your journey looks different, slower, or harder than others around you, please remember:
Different does not mean lesser.

Sometimes surviving is already a victory.

Living with intention and purpose matters.

Imagine not feeling well… 🤍

And hearing the Lord telling you:

“Remember, there is a Lord who loves you.” ❤️✝️🕊️

Nothing is more comforting than this.

Intimacy with Jesus. 🤍

✝️🌿🕊SIT WITH SOPHYA ✝️🌿🕊People celebrate when you survive a tragedy.

When you are brave.

When you are strong.

When you survive something that nearly took your life.

But then…

The aftermath begins to manifest.

The mental health struggles.

The fear.

The anger.

The exhaustion.

The days when survival doesn’t look inspiring anymore.

The moments when your body or mind reacts to things everyone else has already moved on from.

And suddenly, some of the same people who applauded your strength don’t know what to do with the consequences of what you survived.

They loved the survivor story.

But survival has an aftermath.

And sometimes, the bravest part isn’t surviving the tragedy itself.

It’s learning how to live with everything the tragedy left behind.

When you survive a tragedy that nearly killed you, people start seeing you as “inspirational,” “brave,” “strong.”

But you never chose these hardships.

You never asked for this life.

And sometimes, you get tired.

Exhausted.

You just want to be weak for once.

To lean on someone, too.

But people forget that even the strongest ones get tired.

They trivialise your struggles because you have already survived something huge.

Surviving doesn't mean you're not still suffering.

Sometimes, the ones everyone calls strong are the ones who have no one to lean on.

Surviving has a HUGE COST.

Survivorship is ANOTHER BATTLE, which no one prepares you...

✝️🌿 SIT WITH SOPHYA — GOD CAN STILL BRING BEAUTY OUT OF YOUR BROKEN CHAPTERS. 🕊️

Through my brain injuries, HE led me into a world I never imagined for myself.

An ARTIST. A PAINTER. A WRITER. A SPEAKER. 🎨✍️🎤

Through the very brain lesions that became part of my medical journey, I discovered new ways to express myself, to create, to write, and to share my voice.

Where my body has limitations, I continue to discover ways to create.

Where my journey has brought pain, I have also found inspiration.

Where I once wondered what my life would become, I am discovering new ways to use my gifts.

I am not saying that my injuries were a blessing or that suffering is easy.

I am saying that my suffering does not get to define the full extent of what is possible in my life.

I believe that God has been inspiring me, nurturing my creativity, and giving me opportunities to use my gifts in ways I never anticipated.

My hands paint.
My heart writes.
My voice speaks.
And my faith gives meaning to the story I share.

🎨 Through my paintings, I express what words sometimes cannot.
✍️ Through my writing, I give language to the lessons of my journey.
🎤 Through my speaking, I share my testimony and hope with others.

My brain injuries are part of my story, but they are not the totality of who I am.

I AM MORE THAN WHAT I HAVE LOST.

I am still capable of creating.
I am still capable of learning.
I am still capable of inspiring.
I am still capable of living with purpose.

And through it all, I give God the glory for the inspiration, gifts, and opportunities I continue to discover.

Because sometimes, the story you never wanted to live becomes the story through which you discover a new way to express your purpose.

I am Sophya.

Still creating. Still writing. Still speaking. Still trusting Jesus.

My circumstances have changed, but my story is not over. 🤍🕊️
