Virtual briefing ahead of

6 March the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) invite you to a virtual briefing highlighting 🔽

"how the erosion of women’s rights is intertwined with the rise of authoritarianism, conflict, and violent extremism worldwide. The event will galvanize action to ‘push forward for rights, equality and justice.’ The push forward strategy seeks to create momentum by amplifying practices that have impact at the community and country level by both rights holders and duty bearers. Building on the advocacy from women’s rights organizations and emphasizing multi-stakeholder alliances, inclusive dialogue and solidarity, speakers will provide an examples from the field of what humanitarians are doing to push forward".

Increasing Community Resilience with the Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (eVCA) Tool

The eVCA helps communities assess risks, identify actions to reduce vulnerabilities, and build resilience against disasters. By empowering communities to take ownership, this tool enhances their capacity to cope with crises.

Targeting countries like Belize, Jamaica, and Suriname, this research explored how effective eVCAs are, the roles of Community Disaster Response Teams (CDRTs), and key lessons for keeping CDRTs engaged in disaster management.

Together, we can create stronger, more resilient communities. Download here https://www.cadrim.org/researchhub to read more!
