Originally the firm was started by the late Anthony Cremona right after World War I where Antonio Cremona started recycling hides, glass and metals, which were exported to Italy. At that time, the company's name was Malta Scrap Iron and Metal Company. In 1963, after Antonio Cremona's death, his widow Lore
