We will be opening our doors to the first pupils in September 2023 close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Tarxien Temples. The main school campus, the Royal Naval Hospital in Mtarfa, opens in September 2024. The school is in a glorious location with stunning views across the Maltese landscape and to the ancient walled city of Mdina.

Is this the most challenging international school build ever? 02/06/2026

Haileybury Malta's journey has certainly been an eventful one, and we're delighted that Tes magazine has chosen to feature our story in an article exploring the realities of establishing and growing an international school.

It was a pleasure to reflect on the lessons learnt, the milestones achieved, and, above all, the extraordinary community that has helped shape Haileybury Malta into the thriving school it is today.

As we put the finishing touches to our new campus and prepare to welcome pupils to our permanent home at the magnificent Royal Naval Hospital this September, the article is a timely reminder of just how much has been accomplished in a remarkably short space of time.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. From our first pupils and families to those joining us this September, every member of our community has played a role in this story.

The next chapter is an exciting one.

Admissions for September 2026 remain open, with places available in most year groups. If you would like to discover what makes Haileybury Malta such a special place to learn, we'd be delighted to welcome you for a visit.

A school is the sum of its community.

On Thursday evening, we were delighted to welcome current, future and prospective parents, alongside staff, to a drinks reception at our Tarxien campus.

Much of the conversation recently has quite understandably centred around our exciting move to the RNH Mtarfa. We are bursting at the seams and very ready for the space, facilities and opportunities that our remarkable new home will bring. Yet evenings like this also serve as a reminder of just how special our temporary campus has been.

Within these walls, friendships have been formed, confidence has grown, traditions have begun, and a school community has slowly but surely taken shape. These cosy classrooms may have been temporary, but the warmth, ambition, laughter and sense of belonging created within them most certainly were not.
