PAYROLL UPDATE | MSD Contribution Ceiling Increase

Employers are reminded that the amended MSD contribution ceiling increases, as published in the Government Gazette, will take effect from 1 September 2026.

The maximum basic salary used to calculate Social Security contributions will increase to N$12,500, resulting in a new maximum monthly contribution of N$112.50. The minimum contribution threshold remains unchanged.

Effective: 1 March 2027

Maximum Basic Salary: N$15,000

Effective: 1 March 2029
