New entry level floristry training programs starting after the Summer! During the Professional Dutch Floral Design program you learn all the important fundamentals of floristry and by the end, you can create all the necessary flower arrangements you need to be able to create in a flower shop.

Study floristry in the heart of the flower world, Aalsmeer, Holland!

Our International Program starts September 7th and is fully taught in English, our Dutch language program starts September 10th!

Our International program is the International Professional Dutch Floral Design Course, or DFD for short! It's a 20-day vocational training which takes place over the course of 4 weeks.

You can choose to take the program one module at a time, or you can follow the whole program in one go.

De Nederlandstalige vakopleiding is ook 20 lesdagen, maar is één dag in de week, zodat je de rest van de week nog naar je werk kan. Deze cursus is gespreid over een langer tijd, van ongeveer een jaar.

De vakopleiding bloemschikken leert je alle praktische vaardigheden die je nodig hebt om een breed scala aan bloemwerk te maken, wat gemaakt wordt in een bloemenzaak.

We starten op donderdag 10 september met de nieuwe opleiding, 1 dag in de week.

Deze opleiding is speciaal ontwikkeld om mensen met 0 ervaring naar bloemisten niveau te brengen!
Het leert je alles, van handgebonden boeketten, tot bruidsbloemwerk, van tafel decoraties tot rouwbloemwerk.
Ook leren we je design theorie, kleurenleer en andere belangrijke theoretische zaken!

The ADFD program focuses on creativity, but also teaches you more complex techniques and design theory.

Zomersluiting Boerma Instituut: even tijd voor vakantie.
Ook bij het Boerma Instituut nemen we af en toe tijd om op te laden. Na een periode vol inspirerende bloemschiklessen, creatieve projecten, cursussen en ontmoetingen met enthousiaste bloemliefhebbers, genieten wij deze zomer van een welverdiende vakantie.

Van 13 juli t/m 17 augustus 2026 is het Boerma Instituut gesloten.

Even geen lessen, maar wel volop inspiratie. Tijdens onze zomersluiting liggen de lessen en activiteiten van het Boerma Instituut tijdelijk stil. Onze docenten en medewerkers gebruiken deze periode om nieuwe inspiratie op te doen en zich voor te bereiden op een nieuw seizoen vol bloemen, creativiteit en vakmanschap.

Vanaf 18 augustus 2026 openen wij onze deuren weer en staan wij klaar om onze cursisten en bezoekers te verwelkomen.

Voorbereiden op een nieuw bloemrijk seizoen.
Het nieuwe cursusseizoen brengt weer volop mogelijkheden om je verder te ontwikkelen in de wereld van bloemsierkunst.

Of je nu wilt starten met bloemschikken, je technieken wilt verbeteren of je wilt verdiepen in professioneel bloemwerk: bij het Boerma Instituut kun je terecht voor praktijkgerichte opleidingen en cursussen.
Tijdens onze opleidingen leer je niet alleen mooie bloemstukken maken, maar ontwikkel je ook de technieken, kennis en creativiteit die nodig zijn om jezelf verder te ontwikkelen als bloemdesigner of professioneel bloemist.
