This award recognises not only what you have overcome, but the remarkable way you have continued to give so much to Team 4 and Shore Rovers through it all.

🏆 The Leadership Trophy 🏆

Maisy Longbottom 💚

Maisy leads by example, both on and off the court.

Her tenacity, determination and hunger to win are unmistakable, she never gives up, constantly rallies the troops and knows how to bring out the very best in her teammates.

Her heart and soul go into her team through her motivating talks, high standards and dedication to every training session.

From the defensive end, she can be heard encouraging and directing her teammates, staying completely locked into the game for the full 60 minutes.

Her famous line, “Never dip,” became Team 2’s motto and perfectly describes the way Maisy approaches her netball.

Through a challenging start to the season, she kept pushing, lifted the team’s spirits and stood up when they needed a leader most.

Her resilience and belief helped guide Team 2 all the way to a huge victory, taking out the Premier 2 title.

For her passion, resilience and ability to inspire those around her, the recipient of our Leadership Trophy is Maisy.

Chanel Catchpole 💚

Chanel has become an absolute star Team 4.

She is agile, has a lethal jump and is an absolute nightmare for any opposing attacking end.

She never gives up and can always be relied upon to produce an intercept when her team needs it most.

What makes Chanel particularly exciting is that she is not content to rely solely on her natural athleticism.

She is eager to learn, takes feedback incredibly well and puts in the work outside of training to develop the her game.

🏆 Personality of the Year 🏆

Caitlin McDonogh 💚

Caitlin is genuinely one of the kindest and friendliest people you could meet.

She always has time for a chat with fellow club members, and whether she is training, playing or simply passing someone at the courts, she brings a smile and warmth wherever she goes.

She is a hard worker, a beautiful mover on court and an absolute joy to watch shoot, even when the occasional airball makes an appearance!

Caitlin is always the first to laugh at herself and happily shares the amusement with everyone watching.

While she knows that once a game is finished, it is time to move forward and focus on the next one, don’t mistake that for not caring, she will still quietly hold on to it for the rest of the week!

For her kindness, humour, competitive spirit and the joy she brings to those around her, our Personality of the Year is Caitlin.

What a season for SR6 Gold!

The 2026 season got off to a surprising start when Team Gold graded into Premier 3, a huge challenge that they took on with determination and plenty of fight.

They gave it absolutely everything, battling through some incredibly close games before dropping back to Senior 1 for Round 2.

And that’s where the magic happened… 🔥

Team Gold went on an unstoppable seven-game winning streak, earning themselves a place in the Senior 1 final.

In a final played in very wet conditions, they kept their composure, trusted their experience and showed exactly what they were capable of, defeating Rangitoto 4, 50–37, in a dominant display of calm heads and determination.
