Compass FM started in 2011 by Founder Owen Patterson who wanted to bring local Radio to North Canterbury with the many voices in our community as a not for profit radio station. We transmit from Mt Grey and reach as far north as Cheviot into Hamner up to Kaikoura, covering Hurunui on 103.7 and Waimakariri district on 104.9, along with Christchurch, Banks Peninsula and as far south as Ashburton. We broadcast live and local, From 6am-6pm Monday to Friday
We play the widest music variety from the 60’s to now, all day everyday and keeping you up to date with local news, and News and Sport from around the world. We are proud to support various local North Canterbury community groups, organizations and businesses. Our Compass FM Studio is based in Rangiora, we are your local community radio station, here for you. We provide support for the North Canterbury community events, businesses, schools and sports clubs, not-for-profits and organizations. You can find us on:
