As ruas de Alfama estavam em festa com os Santos Populares, e foi no meio das decorações, da música e da alegria toda que fizemos esta sessão. Uma das mais bonitas e espontâneas que já tivemos o prazer de fotografar. Obrigada aos noivos por terem abraçado tudo isto com tanta boa disposição — no meio da multidão e da festa. 🤍

Seham and Aqeel came to Portugal to get married. And after the ceremonies, there was still time for a couple session in the heart of Lisbon — and the timing could not have been better.

The streets of Alfama were alive with the Santos Populares festivities, and it was right in the middle of the decorations, the music, and the joy of it all that we did this couple session. One of the most beautiful and spontaneous sessions we have ever had the pleasure of shooting. Thank you, Seham and Aqeel, for embracing every single moment with such joy and openness — right in the middle of the crowds and the festivities. 🤍
Lisbon really does have a way of always surprising you.

A pasta de cúrcuma é aplicada nos noivos pelas suas famílias e amigos mais próximos — um gesto de pureza, bênção e proteção para o novo capítulo que começa. E depois veio o Dirty Pithi do noivo, uma versão mais divertida e caótica do ritual de Pithi 😉

The Haldi is one of the most joyful rituals in an Indian wedding.
A turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom by their closest family and friends — a gesture of purity, blessing, and protection for the new chapter ahead. And then came the groom’s Dirty Pithi, a more fun and chaotic version of the Pithi ritual 😉
Seham & Aqeel brought this tradition to Portugal — and it was every bit as beautiful as it looks.
