Review of the week! Monica M. gives The House Next Door by James Patterson 5 stars because it's an awesome read! Mr. Patterson is notorious for his voluminous catalog of books, so it's great to have a starting place. Thanks for sharing!

Review of the week! Thanks to Damian S. for recommending Knock, Knock! because it has jokes! This is a picture book we read in storytime last week that features knock-knock jokes written and illustrated by 14 different picture book authors and illustrators. If you like this, you'll also like the companion volume, "Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?"
If you'd like to read either of these books, ask at the library, or place them on hold via our website, anchoragelibrary.org

The Muldoon Transit Center & Library project is moving along, but we can't do it without your help! Talk to the organizers and give your opinion in person Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 3 to 6:00 PM at the Muldoon Library.

Where should the new Muldoon Transit Center & Library be located? 🤷‍♀️

Four potential locations are being considered, and no preferred site has been selected. The project team is evaluating each location based on transit operations, safety, site feasibility, access and connections, community priorities, and public input.

Take a look at the options and tell us what you think: 👀🧠

Which location would be easiest for you to access?
What opportunities or concerns do you see?
Which location best supports a future Transit Center and Library?

Learn more and share your input at www.anctransitcenter.com

APL Remembers Dolly Parton 1946 -2026

It's hard to find words to describe the amazing Dolly, so we'll use books instead. Find our list of books about Dolly and a sample from her Imagination Library at https://bit.ly/APLDollyParton

Dolly Parton turned success as a country songwriter and singer into not only pop music stardom but also work as an actor, a successful businesswoman, and a philanthropist.
