Thank you, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority!

On Oct 8-9, our Red Line planners, local elected officials, Community Engagement Team, and Community Advisory Team members had a firsthand tour of the Cleveland HealthLine. We took notes on one of the country's top Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems to help deliver the best possible solution for Baltimore. We studied ADA accessibility, reliability, real-time information, and how great transit sparks economic opportunity in the communities it serves.

It all connects to our mission: to drive opportunity, economic growth, innovation, and an improved quality of life throughout Maryland. That mission comes to life through four pillars that guide everything we do: Safety, World-Class Customer Experience, Innovative and being Connected

This October, we’re hitting the town!

The Baltimore Red Line team is popping up at events across our city to chat with you about the future of east-west transit. Come grab some project swag, get the latest route updates, and share your feedback directly with our planners. Bringing the family? We’ll have Red Line coloring sheets and crayons!

Joining us for Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations? Our bilingual team members will be on-site with Spanish-language materials.

Even with Sunday's rainout, our bilingual staff was thrilled to connect with 151 community members to share project updates and discuss the future of east-west transit. It’s Car Free Day! Celebrate and ride FREE on MTA today.

Skip the traffic. Forget the expensive parking. Just hop aboard free transit TODAY as the Moore-Miller Administration celebrates Car Free Day. Riders can enjoy all-day, free rides on the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), including on MTA’s Local Bus, Light Rail, Metro Subway, MARC, Commuter Bus, and Mobility.

The Red Line team enjoyed talking with students and families of Mary Ann Winterling Elementary School at their back-to-school event last month. The team, led by Winterling alum Carl Williams, talked with community members about the project and gave folders, crayons, pens and rulers to students.

We’ve spent the last few months traveling across Baltimore, meeting you in your neighborhoods, sharing project updates, and most importantly, listening to your feedback. Here is a look at what we accomplished together this summer:

Connected with people in a variety of places and spaces, from farmers markets and community events to transit stops and Orioles games.
