Jeeping4Fun has officially arrived at Hot Springs Off-Road Park! 🇺🇸

It’s Veterans Day weekend at the park, and there's no better place to be. Time to meet, honor, and thank our veterans from every branch, every decade, and every war or campaign.

I’m here with a clear goal: hand out as many challenge coins as I’ve got with me, meet every veteran I can find, and share our stories on the trails.

If you're out on the trails this weekend, keep an eye out for the 2-door Willys—let's connect! 🛞🇺🇸

Jeep Badge of Honor trail - Holcomb Creek definitely demanded its toll last month! 🪨💥

That boulder section pinched the front flare pretty good—classic trail souvenir. But after a little garage therapy, she’s back to looking sharp and ready for the Veterans Day Weekend Ride at Hot Springs Off Road Park

Nothing like fresh plastic to reset the clock until the next rock comes along.

What trail damage are you fixing in the garage this weekend? Drop your before & after pics in the comments below! 👇

Rarest Badges in the App: Pucker Falls (Escondida, NM)

I was scrolling through my Badge of Honor check-ins recently and noticed how wildly varied the total check-in numbers are across the country.

While the famous spots in Utah, Colorado, and California hit tens of thousands of check-ins, Pucker Falls down in Escondida, NM only sits at 239 total check-ins.

It’s rated a 6–10 ("demanding to most") with a perfect 5-star user rating, but its isolated location means most people drive right past New Mexico without knowing it's there.

It got me thinking: how many of you actively seek out the obscure/isolated BOH trails over the crowded flagship parks?

The Reality Check: "Aired down the tires, disconnected the sway bars, climbed 3,000 feet of rock... and still couldn't find a drive-thru."

I hit 10 badges on September 10th, by the 18th I was at 20. How many out there have gone on extended trips to run as many badge trails as possible

The last badge from last month's 10 day Badge trip out west has arrived.

The Telegraph Line Trail (officially designated as MT-42) is a rugged, highly technical off-road route located in the Sonoran Desert within the Tonto National Forest (specifically in the Cave Creek Ranger District's St. Clair OHV Permit Zone) in Arizona.

Historical Origins
* The Telegraph Line: The trail earns its name from its pioneer-era past. Weathered, aging wooden stumps still line parts of the route—the silent remnants of an early telegraph line that once stretched across this remote stretch of the Arizona backcountry to support regional communication and military logistics.

* Mining Country: The surrounding terrain is deeply intertwined with Arizona's historic mining and prospecting days, sharing geography with old mining roads that crisscross the Mineral Mountain and Bartlett areas.

Wildfire Closures and Reopening

* The Bart Fire: For many years, public access to portions of the area was severely restricted following major wildfire damage—most notably the destructive 2005 Bart Fire, which scorched large swaths north of Bartlett Lake Road.

* Restoration: Following years of habitat recovery, erosion management, and extensive volunteer-driven trail work, the trail network saw major phased reopenings. These efforts allowed the route to return to active backcountry mapping and ultimately join the Jeep Badge of Honor program.

Trail Profile & Character

* "Flexi 42": Spanning roughly 11.3 miles, the trail is rated as a demanding high-clearance 4x4 route and is widely known among off-roaders by its affectionate nickname, "Flexi 42." It is famous for putting a vehicle's suspension articulation to the ultimate test through severe off-camber ledges, deep seasonal ruts, and rocky washes.

* Iconic Obstacles: The route features challenging topographical features like the steep descent known as the "Nosedive" and the "Mini Edge of the Earth" drop-off, before treating drivers to scenic vistas near Bartlett Lake.

Sunset on the horizon, stars coming out, and dust flying—nothing quite beats night runs on the Mojave Road! 🌅🏜️

If you’ve ever tried trailing after dark in a convoy, you already know the eternal struggle: kicking up a wall of dust that turns standard white high-beams into a blinding fog bank, or accidentally cooking the retinas of the driver right in front of you.

The secret to seeing the trail without turning your rearview mirror into a laser show? Amber or selective-yellow lighting mounted low on the cowl. Yellow light cuts through dust and particulates scatter way better than harsh white light, giving you contrast and depth without creating that dreaded glare wall for your trail buddies ahead.

On this run, I'm running a set of Hella X-treme 3" cubes on the cowl to punch clean paths through the haze.

Overlanding in a 2-door Jeep with a soft top and no trailer requires some innovation! 🏕️🚙💨

When cargo space is at an absolute premium, every square inch counts. Who needs a massive trailer or a rooftop tent when you can pack smart, keep the center of gravity low, and set up a comfortable backcountry camp anywhere the trail takes you?

Featuring the trusty 2-door soft top life, an off-grid cot-and-tent setup, and a front-row seat to the desert views. It’s amazing where a 2-door can take you when you keep it lightweight and dialed in.

Who else is rocking a minimalist 2-door overlanding setup? Let’s see how you pack yours! 👇
