Eight years ago today, 11 Jewish worshippers were murdered at the Tree of Life synagogue building in Pittsburgh in the deadliest antisemitic attack in American history.

October 27, 2018, marked a watershed moment for American Jewry, shattering the sense of safety that so many had taken for granted, even in their own houses of worship.

Today, as the Tree of Life site enters a new chapter, there is hope amid the heartbreak. Through its rebuilding and “Rooted in Humanity” initiative, a place marked by tragedy is being transformed into a space for remembrance, education, and connection across differences.

We honor the 11 lives stolen, the community forever changed, and the enduring strength of Jewish life.

May their memories forever be a blessing.

After experiencing TribeTalk at camp this summer, a group of teens brought that same training to 150 of their peers at BBYO Great Midwest Region – on the anniversary of October 7th.

These testimonials speak for themselves. When we equip young people with the tools and confidence to confront antisemitism, we empower them to lead.

A campus tour shows you the highlights. But what is it like to be Jewish there?

Before making your college decision, go beyond the brochure. Talk to current Jewish students, explore Jewish life firsthand by visiting a Hillel or Chabad or attending an event, and learn how the university supports its Jewish community.

The right college fit is about more than academics. It’s about finding a place where you can feel safe, supported, and connected.

Antisemitism in K–12 schools is a serious concern.

According to , 825 antisemitic incidents were reported at non-Jewish K–12 schools in 2025.

In response, six Jewish organizations have released a Jewish Students’ Bill of Rights, outlining standards to help schools protect Jewish students from harassment, discrimination, and exclusion.

At TribeTalk, we believe every student deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered. Through our Standing Strong workshops, we're helping students recognize antisemitism and become confident upstanders.

📣 Know the standards. Stand up against hate.

Today, we remember. We stand together.

We remember the 1,200 innocent lives taken on October 7, those who were taken hostage, the survivors, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

And we recognize the strength and resilience of Jewish communities around the world who have continued to show up for one another and to stand together in the face of hatred and grief.

May the memories of those we lost forever be a blessing.
