1) M&M’s take the top spot! They’re No. 1 on CandyStore.com’s 2026 national Halloween candy ranking.

2) Candy corn was once sold as “Chicken Feed.” 🌽Somehow, that makes its current name sound much more appetizing.

3) Before pumpkins, 🎃 there were turnips. People in Ireland and Scotland carved spooky faces into turnips to make lanterns. Imagine tackling THAT with your pumpkin-carving kit.

4) One pumpkin weighed HOW much?! 🏆 A pumpkin grown in Rhode Island set a world record this October at 3,156 pounds. We’ll leave that lifting to the machinery. 😉

5) Halloween has another name. “All Hallows’ Eve” 👻 refers to the evening before All Saints’ Day on November 1.

Hi everyone! I'm Leah Welch, owner and photographer behind LKW Photography! I've been a photographer for over 15 years, specializing in weddings and capturing all the beautiful, joyful, and genuine moments that come with them.

It is our pleasure to highlight Jamie Moksness of JM’s HydroWash this week!

Jamie is the owner of JM’s Hydro Wash, a locally owned exterior cleaning company based in St. Michael, MN. Since starting the business in 2018, Jamie has grown JM’s Hydro Wash to offer residential and commercial window cleaning, house washing, roof cleaning, concrete cleaning, and holiday lighting throughout the northwest metro.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with his family, coaching lacrosse, camping, and pretty much anything sports related, especially cheering on the Packers and Minnesota Wild.

Jamie enjoys being part of the local business community, building relationships, and connecting people with businesses they can trust.
