Milk matters long before the pour — and after it, too. For National Food Safety Education Month ( ), here’s a quick refresher on smart milk storage.

Skip these common slip-ups:
🥛 Don’t stash milk in the refrigerator door
🥛 Don’t grab milk first at the grocery store
🥛 Don’t leave milk sitting on the counter
🥛 Don’t drink straight from the jug
🥛 Don’t stand there with the fridge door open

DFA farmer-owners and the dedicated employees of our Cooperative work hard to get safe, delicious milk from farm to table.

Stick to these simple don’ts and your milk stays fresh, flavorful, and ready for your next cup of coffee or bowl of cereal.

We’ll raise a glass of delicious — chilled at 40 F or below — to that.
