We look forward to welcoming our veterans and community members for this special occasion. This event is open to the public, and everyone is invited to attend! Checotah FFA is grateful to host this event.

🚨 IMPORTANT LIVESTOCK NOMINATION ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Families planning to exhibit at the 2027 Oklahoma Youth Expo or the Muskogee Regional Junior Livestock Show need to be aware of the upcoming nomination deadlines!

🔹 Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE)

If your student plans to show any of the following at OYE, please contact Mr. Ilbery:

* Commercial ewes
* Market lambs
* Market steers
* All goats
* All hogs

These animals must be nominated to be eligible to show at the 2027 Oklahoma Youth Expo.

Mr. Ilbery needs to know how many nomination kits you need for each species, along with payment, by October 30. Nomination kits are $20 per head.

All heifers and breeding ewes do not nominate for OYE. They only need to be entered during the entry process.

🔹 Muskogee Regional Junior Livestock Show

ALL livestock must be nominated to be eligible to show at the Muskogee Regional Junior Livestock Show.

Please turn in your nomination kit order and money to Mr. Ilbery by November 4.

Please contact Mr. Ilbery if you have questions or need to order nomination kits. Don’t wait until the last minute!

This week in Checotah FFA!

We look forward to welcoming everyone to our annual 4H and FFA Booster Club pie auction! We hope to see you there!

Checotah FFA would like to extend a tremendous Mvto (thank you) to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources for stepping up when we needed help most.

When the electricity went out at the school while we were distributing our FFA meat sale orders, one phone call was all it took. The Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources responded quickly and allowed us to use their refrigerated semi and trailer to continue distributing orders and, more importantly, safely store and freeze our remaining products overnight. Their quick response helped protect thousands of dollars of product belonging to our students and customers.

This is just one more example of something we see time and time again across Oklahoma: our Tribal Nations show up for their communities, their schools, and their young people. Their investment goes far beyond financial support it is about relationships, opportunities, education, agriculture, and making sure the next generation has what it needs to succeed.

We are especially grateful to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation for its continued support of Checotah FFA, FFA programs, agricultural education, and schools throughout the Muscogee Reservation. Whether supporting young people involved in FFA and 4-H, agricultural programs, education, or simply answering the call when a school needs help, the Muscogee Nation continues to demonstrate what service to community looks like.

Agricultural education and FFA are stronger because of partners who believe in our students and are willing to invest their time, resources, and support in them.

To everyone at the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources who helped us during this unexpected situation: Mvto! Your willingness to step in at a moment’s notice meant more to our chapter than you know.

Checotah FFA is incredibly thankful to have the Muscogee Nation as a friend, supporter, and partner in agricultural education.

This past week, our six of our officers attended Chapter Officer Leadership Training (C**T) Conference in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Our officers met with other officers in the northeast area as well as state officers and worked together to build leadership skills that they could bring home to their own chapter!
