Taildragger Jones Marker Dedication
Here is an update on Saturday’s events in Altheimer Ark for Taildragger Jones marker dedication. Arkansas River Delta Blues Trail and the city of Altheimer Arkansas will formally dedicate the Taildragger (James Yancey Jones) marker on Main Street in Altheimer at 11:00am Saturday morning. From there we move to Altheimer Jones Park for the annual Taildragger Day Festival. The event is the labor of love by Taildragger’s family and friends, the city of Altheimer and the Arkansas River Delta Blues Trail. There will be music acts on the Gerald Williams stage. We expect acts from Pine Bluff and Little Rock to participate. We are still in the fund raising mode for this event and would like to thank the Miles Goggins/McFerrin Ferguson family for our first donation. Also the Billy and Susan Jeter family have provided funding. We have room for lots more, don’t be shy!!
Enjoy a beautiful fall day in the Arkansas Delta celebrating one of our most iconic characters and blues man.

Electric Soul Company – Electric Soul Company

Led by singers/songwriters/guitar slingers Breezy Rodio and Will Jacobs, “Electric Soul Company” evokes in name the late great American TV show, “Soul Train”– a dance party going full blast with an abundance of hair, colorful outfits, and limbs flailing to the infectious soul R&B, and funk hits of the day. Spin up Electric Soul Company and you will find there is definitely a party going on – yeah, THAT kind of party!
