🍎🍂 Fall Fun Meets Spooky Season!

Yesterday was the perfect mix of fall fun and spooky season excitement!

During recess, our elementary students had the opportunity to visit the PTO Apple Picking Farm, where they picked their very own fresh apples and chose delicious toppings to create the perfect fall treat! There were plenty of chocolate- and caramel-covered smiles to go around! Students even had the chance to meet, pet, and learn about some adorable goats!

The fun didn’t stop there! The rest of the day was filled with Halloween excitement as students and teachers showed off their creative costumes during a festive parade through the hallways and out to the parent trunk-or-treat area! 🎃

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTO, families, and volunteers for helping create such a memorable day for our students!

💜🤍 It’s a GREAT week to be a Viking! 💜🤍

Yesterday, our amazing PTO volunteers kicked off the Halloween fun by greeting students as they arrived at school with our very own little trick-or-treat line!

But the fun doesn’t stop there! 👀✨ We’ve got a SWEET surprise planned for our kiddos during recess today, and we can’t wait to see their excitement! 🍎 🍏

📸 Stay tuned… more pictures and sweet memories are coming your way!

THIS is what PTO is all about! Making memories, spreading joy, and creating special moments for our little Vikings! We are having the BEST time bringing a little extra magic to their school days! 💜🤍

💜 What AMAZING Vikings we have! 🤍

We are absolutely blown away by the generosity of our community! Thanks to some incredible donors right here in our own community, our Operation Cares lunches are officially covered for the REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!

Several others have reached out asking how they can help, and we would LOVE your support in another important part of Operation Cares!

While our lunches are covered, we are still looking for individuals, families, and businesses to sponsor the shopping portion of our Operation Cares trips!

For a $150 donation, you can help provide much-needed essentials to students who need them most.

These outings are about so much more than just purchasing necessities. Our students get to spend part of their school day enjoying a special shopping experience where THEY get to pick out brand-new clothes, shoes, toiletries, and other essentials. They get to choose things they love, things that fit their personalities, and things they can feel excited and confident about wearing.

For some of our students, getting to shop for brand-new items that they personally picked out is an experience they may not otherwise get to have. And that makes these trips so incredibly special.

Every donation helps us put much-needed essentials directly into the hands of the students who need them most, while giving them an experience that helps them feel valued, supported, and cared for.

If you, your family, or your business would like to sponsor an Operation Cares shopping trip with a $150 donation, please reach out to Midway PTO!

To everyone who has already stepped up, donated, sponsored a lunch, or offered to help, THANK YOU! Your kindness is making a real difference in the lives of our students, and we couldn’t do this without you.

💜 Vikings Taking Care of Vikings. That’s what it’s all about!

💜Operation Cares🤍

We recently had another successful Operation Cares outing! Midway PTO members, along with Mr. Dean and Miss Laycee, had the opportunity to take a few of our students out for a special day on the town!

Our students enjoyed shopping for much-needed necessities and were treated to a delicious sit-down meal at Jose Peppers, thanks to our FIRST Operation Cares Business Sponsor, R&R Plumbing, Inc. of Harrisonville, MO!

A HUGE thank you to R&R Plumbing for your generosity and support!

Sponsorships from businesses like R&R Plumbing make an incredible difference! By covering the cost of a special meal, our PTO can put more of its funds directly toward purchasing the essentials our students need most. These include toiletries, clothing, winter necessities, and even everyday basics we sometimes take for granted, like socks and underwear.

💜 WANT TO HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

We are looking for more individuals, families, and businesses to become Operation Cares Sponsors!

For just $150, you can treat students in need to a special sit-down lunch experience. It's something many of us take for granted, but something some of our students may not often have the opportunity to enjoy.

Operation Cares is about so much more than shopping and a meal. It's about making sure our students feel seen, valued, supported, and cared for.

If you, your family, or your business would like to sponsor an upcoming Operation Cares outing, please reach out to Midway PTO! We'd love to have you be part of something so special!

Thank you again to R&R Plumbing for helping us make a difference in the lives of our students! (Make sure to give their page and like and tag them in a shoutout in the comments!)

💜🤍 Hey, Midway Viking Families! 🤍💜

We know it can be hard to keep track of ALL the things happening with our kiddos! Between school events, activities, fundraisers, and everyday life, things get BUSY! 😅

So, we put together this little graphic to hopefully make life a bit easier and help you keep those calendars organized!

Please don't consider this a complete list of everything happening at Midway. These are just some upcoming events and important dates we think our Viking Elementary families might be interested in!

👀 See something we missed? Let us know! We'd love your help making sure our families stay in the loop.

💜🤍 Go Vikings! 🤍💜

GET TO KNOW YOUR PTO!

We’re excited to introduce our 2026–2027 PTO Vice President, Kenzie Crumpley!

This is Kenzie’s first year with the PTO. Getting involved is something she has always wanted to do, and she’s excited to finally have the opportunity to make a difference in our school community.

Kenzie and her husband, Zach, have been married for nine years and have five children: Kylyn, Karstyn, Kaysley, Jacob, and Jaxon.

Outside of PTO and school, Kenzie and her family stay busy with sports. She also enjoys being creative and working on crafty projects.

This year, Kenzie is looking forward to helping bring new life and energy to the Midway PTO. She hopes to grow membership, encourage more volunteers, and create more opportunities for fun and involvement for our students and families.

Let’s give Kenzie a warm welcome as she begins her PTO journey and helps make this a great year for our Midway community!
