The SEED Program

And that’s a wrap! Sunday evening did not disappoint- Trunk or Treat still stands strong as one of our most memorable events of the year!

So grateful for those who showed up to volunteer, including but not limited to many from our precious team and SEED families! Our Event Coordinator, Marissa, continues to lead this event with such passion and grace and we are ever so thankful for her! She organized, planned, and executed it all flawlessly, down to the very last detail!

Costumes and trunks were on point and competition was fierce! Huge shoutout to all our students, friends and families for coming out to make this another successful year! Already counting down the days til the next!

It’s a beautiful day to celebrate one of our precious team members- Monica!!

Monica is one of the sweetest, most genuine people you will ever meet. Every day she comes to work with a beautiful smile and a super positive attitude. She is full of passion and grace and she has a special way of connecting with everyone she interacts with- children in particular! Monica has been at SEED for almost two years now and she is currently working primarily in Green room and JK. She has also spent time in all of our classrooms and she blooms wherever she is planted!

Monica brings a positive attitude and bright spirit to the classroom bright and early every morning, no matter the weather (both inside and outside!). Anyone working alongside her knows that it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, but Monica makes the most of every opportunity she is given to love on our kiddos and her team members as well. She is incredibly understanding and empathetic and she meets each child where they are at. Her compassionate spirit fills each classroom with warmth and joy.
Monica is flexible. She is willing to hop in wherever she is needed and she can work in a diverse array of settings with children. She is a very dependable person by nature and she will not only show up, but also gives her all to those she is working with.
Monica is a passionate AND calm person- these characteristics don’t always coincide but Monica will quickly prove you wrong if you are determined that they cannot! When it comes to children, she brings a lot of experience to the table, but also a strong desire to learn and grow each day. She has already grown so much in her time with us and we look forward to seeing her growth continue as an RBT and as a person! She is a strong advocate for her children and she shows up for them emotionally while encouraging their growth academically and their ability to thrive in life outside of our walls. Her calm nature is evident in each setting she enters and it has a positive ripple effect on the team. Her patience is enviable and she has a special way of putting people at ease- these qualities are pure gold in our environment.

Monica chose to do a paragraph version answer for her interview questions- she loves to think outside of the box - which really comes in handy in our field!!

“I’ve been at SEED for over a year, and my favorite part about being here is that I’m surrounded by some of the most supportive and caring people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting—staff and families alike. Working in the field of behavioral health has completely reshaped the way I view life. It’s made me realize how much growth can happen when someone feels understood and supported. I’ve learned to slow down, to listen more, and to celebrate the little victories that others might overlook.

Outside of work, I can’t say I have too many hobbies aside from spending time in my garden. Whatever I do, though, I have to have my two littles by my side—I couldn’t go a single day without seeing my kids smile.” - Monica

Flashback Friday to JK’s “Letter B week” fun!
