Today is my mom’s birthday. My mom was diagnosed with cancer right before her birthday just last year. Unfortunately, her fight was short and we are already celebrating the first birthday without her here.

When I think about my mom, sewing always comes to mind. She was an extremely talented quilter. I don’t take after her in the sewing department but I definitely got the crafty gene from her!

While getting treatments she often talked about how happy she was with the care she received at Cancer Care Specialists in Decatur (and that says a lot coming from a retired nurse!).

So, this year, in celebration of her birthday, I’d like to offer these memory ornaments and use the proceeds to do something special for the crew at Cancer Care Specialists in Decatur. I haven’t determined what that will be yet, but will be sure to share when it’s decided.

$5 per ornament - $4 from each ornament will go to CCS

I’ll be sharing more ornament ideas in the next few weeks. Some for the newlyweds, some for new home owners, but a special one is coming Friday. Stay tuned!

My crafty friend said it’s not too early to start sharing Christmas ornaments- so I’m doing it!!!
I’ve been waiting for a while to share this one and I’m so excited!!
